Thor Won't Last As Long As The Others

Thor: Ragnarok will be the shortest Marvel film to date.

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi revealed the runtime for the movie, which will clock in at exactly 100 minutes, making it the shortest running Marvel film.

"The cut right now, I reckon it's about 100 minutes. It's not gonna be a very, very long film. I think that stories are better when you leave them wanting more, and this film moves at a clip, it's got stuff happening all the time. I think people are still gonna feel exhausted by the end, they've been on this big journey and stuff, so I don't think we need the film to be three hours."

Up until now, the shortest running Marvel film has been The Incredible Hulk at 112 minutes, meaning Thor will be twelve minutes shorter. Which might be a point of contention in the film as it sees Thor and Hulk fighting in an arena, presumably over who really lasts longer.

Thor: Ragnarok is set to open November 3rd.
