The CW's DC Shows Crossover Event Moving From Four Nights To Two

Last year's event was the most successful week in CW history, so they're changing it.

Since The CW's DC crossover event was their most watched week in the network's history, the network is changing it up for this year's event, shortening it from four days to two days. On November 27, Supergirl and Arrow will air together, and on November 28, The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow will run back to back. Both nights will run a two-hour movie combining to create a mini-series.

CW president Mark Pedowitz said, "Last year's (crossover) was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything. We felt in this particular case we had Flash on Legends paired, so it was better to make it two two-hour movies – a miniseries – we thought this was the best way to go. We had a lot of conversations with producers and marketing people. Next year, we might go back to four nights."

Details of the crossover event haven't been revealed, but The CW is promising a more emotional event than last season's Invasion.

Supergirl returns Monday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. ET, The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow return Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET, respectively, while Arrow moves to Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Oct. 12, all on The CW.
