After an on-set accident resulted in the death of stuntwoman Joi "SJ" Harris, production on Deadpool 2 shut down Monday. Two days later, production has resumed, according to Jason Cameron, a business agent for UBCP-ACTRA, the local actors union in British Columbia.
The crew was filming a stunt sequence involving a motorcycle when Harris rounded a corner, lost control and crashed through a plate-glass window at Shaw Tower the 1000 block of West Waterfront Road near Jack Poole Plaza. She was treated by ambulance personnel, but died at the scene. She was doubling as Zazie Beetz's character Domino when the accident occurred.
Directed by David Leitch, the film is set to release June 1, 2018. Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapacic as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna in unknown roles.
