Real Doomsday Clock Ticks Closer As DC Reveals Doomsday Clock Covers

The trade dress is pretty much Dave Gibbons' original Watchmen design.

Showing a high level of integrity and originality, DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns took to Twitter to reveal the covers to Doomsday Clock #1, the 12 issues crossover event which will fully intergrate the Watchmen universe into the DC universe. It also revealed the trade dress, which is a spot on recreation of the original trade dress for Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' Watchmen.

The main cover, by Gary Frank, is seemingly a meta-commentary on DC signalling their own death knell, showcasing the message "THE END IS HERE". The first variant cover, also by Frank, features Superman in front of Doctor Manhattan. The second variant cover will be a lenticular cover that will also use pre-existing artwork from Gibbons. Because of course it will be.
