Robert Kirkman Encourages Speculator Market

Buy! Buy! Buy!

The richest man in Kentucky Robert Kirkman took to Twitter Wednesday in order to encourage speculators to pick up the latest issues of The Walking Dead and Outcast. The two issues both introduce new characters to their respective universes.

Issues of The Walking Dead where new characters are introduced always go for a higher value than ones that don't. Issue 19, the first appearance of Michonne, went for over $600, and issue 92, the first appearance of Jesus, sold for nearly $200. One lucky ebayer already sold a copy of issue 171 for $75.

Since the comic market works on a three-month early pre-order system, hopefully you ordered your copy in June, otherwise you may have to pay ebay scalper prices.
