X-Force Film Coming From Netflix's Marvel's Daredevil's Drew Goddard

The movie will see Deadpool and Cable leading a black ops team.

FOX has set Drew Goddard to write and direct their X-Force film, which will follow Deadpool and Cable leading a mutant black ops team. Goddard has already cracked the script, so he's ready to start production after finishing Bad Times at the El Royale with Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges. It was previously announced that Joe Carnahan would write an X-Force film for FOX.

Goddard has written for Buffy The Vampire SlayerAngel, Alias, and Lost. He was the showrunner for Netflix's Marvel's Daredevil. He wrote the films The Cabin in the WoodsWorld War Z, and The Martian.

Cable, played by Josh Brolin, will make his film debut alongside Deadpool in Deadpool 2, set to release June 1. Other X-Men-related films include New Mutants set to release April 13 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix on November 2.
