Thor: Ragnarok Co-Writer Stephany Folsom Denied WGA Credit

The Writer's Guild's rules only allow two writers credited per movie.

Screenwriter Stephany Folsom took to Twitter to voice her frustration with The Writer's Guild Of America. The writer was denied a co-writing credit for Thor: Ragnarok, even after Marvel credited her with co-writing the film.

The Writer's Guild Of America has strict rules that only two writers can be credited for a movie. In Thor: Ragnarok's case, those two writers would be Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost. Since the two are not a recognized writing team, despite being frequent collaborators, Folsom isn't allowed the credit.

Set to release November 3, Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
