Boom! Studios is working with wrestler AJ Styles to tell the story of his WWE Royal Rumble debut in 2016. Styles is co-writing The Debut of AJ Styles with Michael Kingston. The story will be part of the Boom Studios' WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Special that goes on sale Jan. 10. The special highlights the history of the Royal Rumble, including Flair's 1992 victory and Shawn Michaels' in 1995.

Kingston is familiar with Styles, having collaborated with him on his comic series Headlocked.

"A.J. and I are friends and we have similar creative mindsets, so working with him is a breeze. We collaborated on a story for Headlocked that was a lot of fun, so when the opportunity to work together again arose, it was really a no-brainer."

Styles lasted nearly 30 minutes in the match before being eliminated by Kevin Owens. In the comic, he'll be lucky to last 10 pages.
