Dynamite is making a ton of announcement ahead of New York Comic Con and the latest is that the publisher is extending their deal with NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products which includes a new Xena comic series. The new series will be written by Meredith Finch, with covers by husband David Finch.

Writer Meredith Finch says, "In an industry filled with strong female superheroes, Xena stands out as a woman who's only super power is her sheer strength of will and character. She has overcome tremendous obstacles to become a beacon of hope for her people and readers alike. I could not be more thrilled to have the opportunity to add to her mythos."

Xena has bounced around publishers, moving from Topps Comics to Dark Horse Comics to Dynamite and Dynamite again.

Xena #1 is set to release in February 2018.
