Live-Action Adaptation Of Velvet Coming To New Paramount Network

Velvet was created by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting.

Paramount Television will rebrand Spike TV into Paramount Television and the network's first original drama series will be an adaptation of Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting's VelvetKyle Killen is in charge of the show and will executive produce as well as write the pilot. Brubaker will also executive produce while Epting will only produce.

Velvet is a female-driven spy thriller that revolves around former spy Velvet as she sets out to settle an ancient score built on lies in a new world of ongoing espionage.

The network's name change is expected to occur January 18, 2018.
