With the last sneak peek we got of Big Hero 6 The Series also came with the news that the series will be starting in November. Today we are getting an exact release date and the news that the debut episode of the series, based on the 2014 film (based somewhat on the Marvel comic), will be a TV movie.

Big Hero 6 The Series will launch on November 20 with a one-hour television movie titled Baymax Returns. The premise of the TV movie is no spoiler as it involves the end of the movie movie (and if you didn't see that, sorry):

Set once again in San Fransokyo, the television movie Baymax Returns explores that tear-jerking moment in Big Hero 6 after Hiro believes that his robot friend is lost in the portal forever, before discovering the chip his brother Tadashi designed to create Baymax. The series continues the adventures and friendship of Hiro, Baymax, and the rest of the superhero team, picking up immediately following the events of the feature film.

Baymax Returns will air at 8:00pm simultaneously on Disney XD, Disney Channel, the DisneyNOW app, and Disney XD Video On Demand. In addition, two full-length episodes will debut on the DisneyNOW app and Disney XD VOD. The series will then roll out weekly for six weeks starting Friday, November 24 on Disney XD, the DisneyNOW app, and the Disney XD YouTube channel.

The DisneyNOW app will also get Pocket Baymax on November 20. Pocket Baymax is a customizable virtual personal assistant, which will "bring Baymax to life".
