Only four seasons in, Gotham has cast its third actress as Poison IvyPeyton has joined the show, taking over for Clare Foley and Maggie Geha. Gotham's producers referenced the character's age change in a statement.

"In the continuing evolution of Poison Ivy's origin story, Ivy Pepper has been transformed once again taking another step toward becoming the Ivy we know from the comics."

Comic book timelines have always had a sliding scale, but Gotham has the wildest. The first season saw Poison Ivy played by a 13-year-old actress and the fourth season sees her played by a 31-year-old actress. Meanwhile, the other main characters have not aged the same.

Gotham airs Thursday nights on FOX.
