Last year it was being rumored that Marvel and ABC were working on a New Warriors TV series. This past April, the rumor was confirmed, and the team's roster was to consist of Squirrel Girl, Mister Immortal, Night Thrasher, Speedball, Microbe, and Debrii and would air on Freeform. With the show confirmed to go to straight to series with 10 half-hour episodes, and a cast announced, it sounded like things were set to go for the show to run on Freeform in 2018.
Well, maybe someone should have checked with Freeform first. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will no longer be airing on Freeform as the channel could not find a slot to fit it into, despite the pilot having being said to have tested "though the roof". Some have speculated that the show may show on the future streaming on demand service Disney is cooking up, but that does not seem likely as president of Marvel Entertainment Dan Buckley stated they want the show to air in 2018:
"We are extremely excited about Marvel's New Warriors and look forward to finding the perfect partner to launch the series with in 2018"
Well, wherever New Warriors shows up, we'll let you know. Maybe they should have aired it on Friday nights on ABC?
