Justice League's opening weekend haul of $94 million domestically is the weakest start of any of the DCEU films, nearly $9 million behind Wonder Woman's opening weekend take of $103 million. The film did better overseas taking in $185.5 million internationally. Before it opened, the film was tracking for a $110 million debut, but fell more than shy of that goal.

In comparison, Marvel's The Avengers opened to $204.7 million and Avengers: Age of Ultron opened to $191.3 million. While Warner Bros. tried to play up Wonder Woman's role in the movie to draw in female viewers, men made up 63% of ticket buyers, compared to Thor: Ragnarok's 57% male, which debuted to $122.7 million domestically.

The final budget of Justice League is somewhere between $250-$300 million on initial filming and reshoots alone. While the film will recoup its costs, it won't be the box office smashes that Marvel movies normally are.
