Mark Millar Announces Second Hit-Girl Arc To Be Written By Kevin Smith

Expect only three of six issues to ever be released.

Mark Millar announced the return of Hit-Girl in a new ongoing series, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of Kick-Ass. But the biggest news of the announcement is that known procrastinator Kevin Smith will be writing the second arc. Smith is legendary for not finishing projects.

It took four years for the six issue Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do to be released. Batman: The Widening Gyre was announced as a 12 issue series, but only 6 were released. Daredevil/Bullseye: The Target, while announced as a limited series, wasn’t meant to only have one issue ever released.

Luckily for Millar, he has a murderer’s row of talent lined up to work on the title as well, including Frank Quitely, Rafael Albuquereue, Peter Milligan, Eduardo Risso, and Daniel Way.

Hit-Girl is set to return in February 2018.
