X-Men: Dark Phoenix Will Kill A Major Character

It'll probably be Tye Sheridan so he can appear in the latest Superman film.

A new report is stating that a major character will die in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which is expected as a major character also died in X-Men: The Last Stand. In that movie, James Marsden's Cyclops died so that the actor could appear in 2006's Superman Returns. Based on the history, we can only assume that Tye Sheridan's Cyclops will die in Dark Phoenix so that he can appear in the latest Superman film.

While this isn't confirmed, it's likely to be either Sheridan's character or one of the X-Men actors whose contracts are up including Michael Fassbender's Magneto, James McAvoy's Charles Xavier, Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult's Hank McCoy.

The death is rumored to be by impalement, so we've got a year to see which character will receive the sharp end of the stick. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to release November 2, 2018.
