Williams Returns For 'Solo: A Star Wars Story'

Veteran is back to help settle the score

Good news! Williams will return for the Star Wars  spinoff movie, Solo: A Star Wars story to lend his steady hand… and pen. Retirement can't keep this man away from Star Wars (to our benefit), as John Williams is back from only composing the Star Wars saga films to help with the Solo score.

As reported on back in July, John Powell will be doing the score for the Solo film. However, Williams will be writing the main theme, with Powell doing the rest. Here's how Williams describes it:

"The present plan is that I’m writing a theme for Han Solo, and John Powell is going to write the score, which he’ll do brilliantly."

Williams continues:

"What I will do is offer this to John, and to [director] Ron Howard, and if all parties are happy with it, then I will be happy. … John [Powell] will complete the score. He will write all the rest of the themes and all of the other material, which I’m going to be very anxious to hear."

Solo: A Star Wars Story will con its way into theaters May 25, 2018.

Now how's about a trailer?
