DC To Undercut D.C. Comic Shops With Pop Up Store

Get ready for hot DC in D.C. action.

Source: Press Release

On Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, DC Comics will be heading to Washington, D.C. for DC in D.C., an event which will see panel discussions, screenings, and more. DC will also be opening a pop-up shop Friday, January 12–Sunday, January 14, 2018, in front of the Newseum.

The pop-up shop will feature a DC merchandise shop, charging stations, a free Jitters coffee bar, and interactive displays covering the history of DC. Luckily for shop-goers, the pop-up will be heated given the forecast looks to be under 40 degrees.

Undercutting local comic book stores, the pop-up shop will offer the top 50 "greatest DC graphic novels of all time," exclusive T-shirts, and Funko toys. Be sure to swing by the shop to watch DC cannibalize the sales that comic book stores so desperately need.
