The Producers Guild Of America has instated new anti-sexual harassment guidelines as of last Friday. These updated rules will cover producers, cast, crew, and other team members on sets. On Saturday, the PGA Awards announced that the first production to implement the new guidelines will be Wonder Woman 2

The announcement of the film's involvement is important as Brett Ratner, producer on the first Wonder Woman, was revealed as not being attached to the sequel after public sexual harassment and misconduct claims.

"Sexual harassment can no longer be tolerated in our industry or within the ranks of the Producers Guild membership," said PGA presidents Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary. Their statement went on to say that, "We are in a transitional moment as a society, in which we are re-evaluating behavior in the workplace and beyond. Producers possess authority both on and off the set, and can provide key leadership in creating and sustaining work environments that are built on mutual respect."

Joining the Guild is voluntary and the guidelines are sanctioned as best practices for the 8,000+ members of the Guild. The guidelines provide several recommendations, including that each production: complies with federal and state laws, offers a range of reporting procedures, and provide in-person anti-sexual harassment training for all members of the cast and crew at the start of any production, including at the start of any new season for ongoing productions.

Wonder Woman 2 is set to release December 13, 2019.
