Disney•Pixar's 2004 animated blockbuster Incredibles is getting a sequel, Incredibles 2, and it's coming this Summer. Although the sequel is right around the corner, we've really only seen one unrevealing teaser trailer, not much else. Today though, some new characters, and the voices behind them were teased by the company.
Most of the main cast are reprising their roles from the first movie except the previously announced Spencer Fox, who will be replaced by Huck Milner, playing Dashiell "Dash" Parr. Similarly, though in a less prominent role, Jonathan Banks replaces Bud Luckey as the voice of Rick Dicker, Super Relocation Program agent.
Here's a rundown of the new characters and voice actors who will play them. The images are a play on the Google Arts & Culture app which compares selfies with works of art:
Winston Deavor will be voiced by Bob Odenkirk. Winston is a telecom bigwig described as "big in everything he does—including his infatuation with Supers" who wants to wants to bring supers "back into the sunlight."
Evelyn Deavor, voiced by Catherine Keener, is Winston's genius sister. She is a tech-whiz and may be the brains behind the Deavor company.
Voyd will be played by Sophia Bush. Voyd is a young super who is a fangirl or Elastigirl. She has the ability to "divert and manipulate objects around her by creating voids that allow the objects to appear and disappear, and shift in space".
Finally, the foreign dignitary known as Ambassador will be voiced by Isabella Rossellini. She is also in favor of the legal return of supers.
Incredibles 2 opens June 15. Hopefully we get a full-fledged trailer soon.
