It's been two years since the film and John Q Public still doesn't want to see these heroes.

Gotham was mildly successful for Warner Bros., while Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wasn't. Seeing that the difference was a lack of superheroes in Gotham, Warners executives are hastily moving forward with superhero shows not featuring superheroes.  SyFy announced Krypton last year, a show about Superman's grandparents which launches in March.

Now DC Digital Service will have their own Superman-less show in Metropolis. The live-action drama will be written by Gotham executive producer John Stephens and directed by another Gotham EP Danny Cannon.

The 13-episode series will follow Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city's dark and bizarre secrets. Production is set to begin later this year for a 2019 release.
