You may need to wait a while for the green light…

Nintendo had it's corporate management policy briefing presentation, and although it was mostly dry investor-talk, there were little bits of news scattered about. One of the little bits was the reveal of a new game… a new mobile game.

Yes, yes, a mobile game. Bleh. Nintendo started it's mobile gaming life with a non-game (RIP), but slowly added Mario, Fire Emblem, and Animal Crossing to its stable. Rumor was that the Legend of Zelda was next, but unless they pull a surprise, it looks like they'll be going back to Mario again. But it's not just any Mario game, but one of the best selling Mario series for Nintendo consoles:Mario Kart.

No details were given about the game except that it will hit the finish line sometime before March 2019. If they can get the steering mechanic right, and not hamper it too much with microtransactions, it could just be a good games.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimshima also confirmed the rumored  Super Mario movie with Illumination. Again, not much information was provided about the project, but it was revealed that the legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto would be co-producing the film with Illumination's Chris Meledandri.

No release date for the movie was announced.

Nintendo also gave a new timeframe for its paid online service. When its newest console -- the Switch -- was fully revealed, Nintendo it also came with the bad news that its online services would no longer come for free. After a few delays, the company has announced that the subscription service would start September 2018. yet again, no details have been revealed.

Oh yeah, Nintendo also made a decent amount of cash this past fiscal year.
