Joel Kinnaman Claims Suicide Squad 2 Will Fix The First's Mistakes

Will it wipe the film from our memory?

Source: Yahoo

Joel Kinnaman was promoting the new Netflix series Altered Carbon but Yahoo couldn't help but ask about Suicide Squad and its upcoming sequel. They asked Kinnaman what went wrong with the first movie and he answered bluntly.

"The third act!"

While most believe it's all three acts that are the issue, it's a bold move for Kinnaman to criticize the film at all. He then went on to explain how the sequel and new director Gavin O'Connor will fix

"It was a great set-up, great characters. I think when we do the second one I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a more grounded version of the film. The characters are so extreme it could be more effective if we saw less sorcery. I think the characters become more extreme if you see them in conjunction with real people."

With new management in charge of Warner Bros., maybe it's possible that Suicide Squad 2 could improve on the first. It certainly can't be worse.
