The Nightmare is Over! Hasbro to Reboot Transformers Movie Franchise!

The Last Knight was truly the last night for the Bayformers of Transformers. The franchise will reset after Bumblebee: The Movie.

The Transformers movie franchise (nicknamed the Bayformers after the series director Michael Bay) is ending. No more will I ever review another damn cinematic Transformers movie for a long time! For today at Hasbro's Investor Preview for Toy Fair 2018 (courtesy of tfw2005), they revealed that a new team at Paramount will relaunch the Transformers movie franchise after Bumblee: The Movie (which is coming out this year sadly which means one more jaunt into the Bayverse and one more movie to endure review). Transformers 6 (which was to be released in 2019) has been removed from Hasbro's cinematic schedule.

Also revealed was that Hasbro would have more control over the various franchises that'll be over at Paramount (so G.I. Joe, Micronauts, and Dungeons & Dragons). Here's the full cinematic listing of Hasbro's movies with Paramount now:

So for those keep track. Bumblee: The Movie will take place in the 1980s and be a prequel to the Bayverse movies (oh crap THERE IS ONE MORE TO ENDURE! ONE MORE TO REVIEW! NOOOOOOOOO!!!). Which means the cliffhanger that Transformers: The Last Knight ended on won't ever been touched on or remembered again (aka Unicron being Earth and being awakened). So we shall never get any sense of satisfaction. Aw... But you know what that means?

Our darkest hour has been lit. CUE THAT MUSIC!!
