Ant-Man and the Wasp is getting its own mini-series presumably as part of Marvel's "Fresh Start". No this isn't related to the movie, which gets its own, even mini-er series, Ant-Man and the Wasp Prelude (out next week!), but involves a different Scott and "Hope". It arrives in a good time for the movie though… which we're sure is just a coincidence.
Yes, this new 6-issue mini-series will feature the comic version of Scott Lang (aka. Ant-Man) and Nadia (which means "hope") Pym (aka. Unstoppable Wasp). Here's how the story is described:
In this series, Lang has shrunken down and gotten lost, with Nadia his only hope of rescue. The problem is, Lang's not the kind of guy to easily admit he's lost - or that he's in need of a rescue.
Mark Waid will be writing the story, with Young Gun Javier Garron on art, and Israel Silva handling colors. Apparently, Waid is a good fit for the series since he is obsessed by the Microverse. He's busy doing research on subatomic physics and wants to establish some rules about the Microverse for future stories. Garron is enthusiastic about getting to render this alien realm.
