While Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories has already been adapted as a video series, it will also be adapted as a comic thanks to Mark Buckingham and Dark Horse Comics. The four short stories being adapted are Looking for the Girl and Foreign Parts, both of which can be found in Gaiman's short story collection Smoke and Mirrors and Closing Time and Feeders and Eaters, which are in Gaiman's later collection, Fragile Things.

Buckingham will be drawing from Gaiman's original stories, rather than the video series.

"This will be quite a different experience to people's previous encounters with these tales," said Buckingham. "I knew I wanted this to read as a cohesive whole, rather than a set of short stories, so I have woven them together, into a single narrative."

The hardcover edition of Likely Stories is set to release August 29 in comic shops and September 11 in bookstores at $17.99.
