The Walking Dead Ratings Fall To Season One Lows

Lauren Cohen might be better off not renewing her contract.

Last Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead, the tenth of the eighth season, saw the show's ratings drop to lows not seen since the first season. The show drew a 2.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.8 million viewers in the Nielsen Live+Same Day numbers. The last time the show drew a sub-3.0 rating was the Season 1 episode Wildfire, with a 2.8. This week's episode also saw a 20% fall in ratings from last week's midseason premiere, which was the lowest since the debut of the show.

Despite all these lows, The Walking Dead was still the most watched cable show of the night, proving just how much of a powerhouse the show still is. But if the ratings continue to tumble week after week, Lauren Cohen might not want to reup her contract.
