Dora Milaje Team-Up In 3-Part 'Wakanda Forever'

Okoye, Ano, and Aneka kick ass in the wider Marvel Universe

The Dora Milaje (Adored Ones) made quite an impression on moviegoers in the Black Panther  movie. The Wakandan king's bodyguards, introduced in Christopher Priest's Black Panther #1 in 1998, have mostly been seen in the company of T'Challa, but this Summer they will be teaming up with some of the most popular non-Wakandan characters in the Marvel Universe.

Okoye, Ayo, and Aneka will head to New York to investigate a threat to Wakanda in Wakanda Forever: Amazing Spider-Man. In this story -- surprise! -- they run into Spider-Man. The comic will drop in June and will be written by the award-winning author Nnedi Okorafor, who wrote the Black Panther: Long Live the King  digital comic, with art by Alberto Jiménez Alburquerque. Terry Dodson will be doing covers.

Wakanda Forever: X-Men releases in July, and Wakanda Forever: Avengers in August, and you can guess who the Dora Milaje will be teaming up with in those issues. You can read more about how Okorafor will approach this new project in her Vogue interview, which includes a sketch by Alburquerque:
