IDW is once again going back to the Mirror Universe, in yet another Star Trek comic featuring that dimension. We've already seen The Original Series' Mirror Universe in IDW's Star Trek: Mirror Images, and last year The Next Generation did visit that dimension in Star Trek: The Next Generation: Mirror Broken.
This year we'll be getting more Mirror Universe, apparently one not in the "Prime" universe (Star Trek: The Next Generation: Through The Mirror five-week event in May) and the newly announced "Prime" universe series Star Trek: The Next Generation: Terra Incognita.
This six-issue series will feature "done-in-one" stories featuring different characters, though there is a throughline via a crewmember established in previous IDW Mirror Universe comics. Here's how IDW describes the title:
This six-issue miniseries reveals unique, focused stories where beloved characters find themselves in new, unfamiliar situations, in a format echoing the "done-in-one" nature of the television series.
Terra Incognita will be written by the team that did the previous IDW Next Generation Mirror stories Scott Tipton and David Tipton. The artist on the series will be Tony Shasteen. The series will start in August.
