FOX Delays Release Of The New Mutants And X-Men: Dark Phoenix

On the plus side, Bohemian Rhapsody has been moved up.

The Tracking Board EIC Jeff Sneider tweeted a picture of a 20th Century Fox email stating that various films' release dates have been shifted around. The changes are:

  • Bohemian Rhapsody from December 25, 2018 to November 2, 2018.
  • X-Men: Dark Phoenix from November 2, 2018 to February 14, 2019.
  • The Kid Who Would Be King from February 14, 2019 to March 1, 2019.
  • The Force from March 1, 2019 to unknown.
  • Spies In Disguise from January 18, 2019 to April 19, 2019.
  • The New Mutants from February 22, 2019 to August 2, 2019.

At one time, The New Mutants was set for an April 13, 2018 release, which was then pushed back to accommodate reshoots and adding an additional character. It's rumored that the film is undergoing more reshoots in order to make it scarier to make the film stand out tonally similar to how Logan and Deadpool were.

Dark Phoenix was also pushed back due to reshoots, which were difficult to schedule due to the A-list cast.
