In more news that doesn't bode well for the future of Valiant Entertainment, the publisher IP farm has lost its fifth Executive since their January acquisition by the Chinese firm DMG Entertainment. Valiant's Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons has resigned from the company according to local rumor mongers. Simons was integral to Valiant's success since its relaunch in 2011, bringing in underappreciated creators such as Matt Kindt, Jeff Lemire, Jody Houser, Paolo Rivera, and Marguerite Sauvage.
When Valiant was initially acquired, Chief Creative Officer and CEO Dinesh Shamdasani, Chairman Peter Cuneo, and CFO Gavin Cuneo were all let go. While, VP of Marketing & Communications Hunter Gorinson left the company in the beginning of March.
There's no exact reason given for Simons' departure, but it's not a long shot to say DMG was a part of that.
