Back in 2014, a Toy Story 4 movie was officially announced with a release date of June 16, 2017. John Lasseter was to return to direct with Randy Newman back on music on a story focusing on Woody and Bo peep's relationship. In 2015, the Toy Story sequel was pushed back to June 15, 2018 and in June of 2017, it was announced that Josh Cooley would be taking over the movie's directorial duties.
A few months later, Lasseter stepped down from his role at Disney•Pixar due to allegations of "misconduct". Toy Story 4 subsequently fell off of many a person's radar after that, being so closely associated with Lasseter.
Well, apparently the project is not dead. Toy Story 4 director Cooley tweeted out an image of sticky notes illustrating a Toy Story-styled 4 and a date of June 21, 2019 yesterday:

So either that's the new release date for Toy Story 4 or that's when they will finish their sticky note art. We'll see…
