While it may be years before Moon Knight comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it'll be a lot sooner for Nova to grace the big screen, according to mastermind Kevin Feige. Talking to TV and Movies Dot Com, Feige said:

"Nova is... if we have a big board with a bunch of characters that have more immediate potential, Nova is on that board. Because of the connection to the Guardians universe, because there are more than one examples to pull from in the comics that are interesting. And you're absolutely right, he was in the earliest drafts of the [Guardians of the Galaxy]."

The original Nova, Richard Rider, was a member of the Nova Corps, an intergalactic police force, based on the planet Xandar. As a high school student, Rider was given the uniform and powers of the Nova Corps by Rhomann Dey to fight their war against the Skrulls.

The Sam Alexander version of Nova is a high school student with an abusive father who talks about his supposed life as a Nova Centurion. After injuring himself, Alexander wakes up in a hospital where Rocket Raccoon and Gamora reveal his father's true identity, inheriting his father's Nova helmet.

It's unknown which version of Nova would appear in the MCU, but with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 in the works, we'll find out sooner rather than later.
