Disney Continues To Farm Comics To Other Publishers

Dark Horse will release a Zootopia graphic novel later this year.

Only caring about Marvel when it comes to using their IP for billion-dollar movie franchises, Disney continues to license their properties to other comic book companies. The latest is a graphic novel based on Disney's Zootopia. Published by Dark Horse ComicsDisney Zootopia: Friends to the Rescue includes two separate stories, one based on Judy Hopps and one based on Nick Wilde.

Written by Jimmy Gownley, with art by Leandro Ricardo da Silva, colors by Wes Dzioba, and letters by Chris Dickey, this original graphic novel joins other Disney properties-turned-comics at Dark Horse including The Incredibles and Frozen.

The 48-page original graphic novel is set to release September 12, 2018 for $7.99.
