Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to become the latest cinematic Spider-Man villain: Mysterio. It's a good thing he's not dreamy and handsome since he'll have to wear a fish bowl on his head for the film. Created by Steve Ditko and looked at by Stan LeeQuentin Beck aka Mysterio is a special effects expert who uses his talents to create elaborate illusions to commit crimes and to fight Spider-Man.

The untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will be directed by returning director Jon Watts and will be written by the first's Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, and Michael Keaton as The Vulture. The film is set to be released July 5, 2019.
