The whole point of a comic publisher is to get content to develop into movies. That's where the money is. It's taken since 2015, but Aftershock Comics has finally announced its presence with the news that Legendary Entertainment has acquired the film rights to Animosity.

One of Aftershock's launch titles, Animosity is written by Marguerite Bennett and illustrated by Rafael de Latorre. The comic is a survival storyabout an 11-year-old girl who struggles to survive when the world is plunged into chaos when animals suddenly get the power of speech and heightened thought, planning revenge against their human overlords.

Showing that running a publisher can be lucrative, AfterShock Media's president Lee Kramer and CEO Jon Kramer will produce the film.
