Details about Jon Favreau's live-action Star Wars series are slowly coming out. We know the series will take place around 3 years after Return of the Jedi, 7 years after the Battle of Yavin in A New Hope. We also know that the series will feature all new characters just to piss off people who hated The Last Jedi.

Disney is betting hard that this series will be a big hit for their streaming service which is set to launch in 2019. It's reported that the series will have a budget of $100 million for its inaugural 10 episodes. This is on par with HBO's budget for the sixth season of Game Of Thrones.

Comparatively, The Last Jedi had a budget between $200 and $250 million.
