Challenging Wal-Mart, Target Getting Their Own Comics

Target is cornering that Disney Princess market.

Source: Target

With Wal-Mart holding down the DC Comics market for big box stores, Target is getting into the comics game with Disney Princess hardcover collections. Their initial release will see five 96-page hardcovers featuring Ariel, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Pocahontas and Belle. These collections are from Joe Books, who has been producing Disney comics for some time now.

It's not clear if the books will contain new material, but it's more than likely these are reprints of older Joe Books Disney Princess material. Each book will retail for $9.99.
