BOOM! Stakes Dark Horse And Takes Buffy License

BOOM! took the Firefly license from Dark Horse in July.

Source: Press Release

Back in July, BOOM! Studios acquired the Firefly license from Dark Horse Comics, which came as no surprise as Twentieth Century Fox  invested heavily in BOOM! Studios last year.

Keeping up the new tradition, BOOM! has also grabbed the Buffy The Vampire Slayer license away from Dark Horse. The publisher is planning on releasing new monthly comic book series, limited series, and original graphic novels.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer ran for seven seasons from 1997-2003 on The WB and UPN.
