We first met the mischievous Q in the debut episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. He, along with the others in the Q Continuum, are god-like beings who pretty much know all and can do anything, which may lead them to meddling with mortals like Jean-Luc Picard, Benjamin Sisko, and Katharyn Janeway. It looks like Q is back and is expanding its roster, as a new Starfleet officer is added to their list: James T. Kirk.

Star Trek: The Q Conflict is a six-issue comic miniseries that will find the crews from the original four television series pitted against one another:

When a dispute between godlike beings threatens the galaxy, it will take all of Starfleet's best captains to stop them. James T. Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, Kathryn Janeway, and Benjamin Sisko must go head-to-head in a competition rigged by the arrogant Q and his nigh-omnipotent cohorts.

The Q Conflict will be written by Scott and David Tipton with art by David Messina. and will start in January 2019. Variant covers for the issues will be provided by George Caltsoudas and J.K. Woodward.
