The final chapter of the Godzilla anime trilogy, Godzilla: The Planet Eater, is hitting Japan next month. We've already seen a teasy-teaser for the film, but now we have a proper trailer for the film. Take a look (sorry, in Japanese):
The official website also did a very minor update to the story's synopsis tacking on two sentences to the beginning (and also notes that the animation company is working on Star Wars Resistance, not quoted here):
20,000 years into the future, the Earth is ruled by Godzilla. Pitted against him are the straggling remnants of the human race. The final chapter, GODZILLA：The Planet Eater, finds the Mechagodzilla city, the peak of scientific evolution and mankind’s best hope, burned to cinders. Godzilla Earth reigns supreme but he has one more challenge: the winged creature, KING GHIDORAH.
Godzilla: The Planet Eater will entwine Japanese audiences November 9. It hasn't been announced yet when it will be unleashed on Netflix here in the US, but if it follows previous patterns, it will probably be in early 2019.
