This past September Marvel teased a relaunch of the Guardians of the Galaxy title with a huge lineup of characters, asking "Who are the Guardians"? Earlier this week the company started to tease who might be on the roster, starting with Cosmic Ghost Rider, who writer Donny Cates said would be in the new Guardians book at New York Comic Con.
Today the entire new teaser has been revealed and has been pared down to eleven characters, and the revelation that more than one Guardian is clumsy with the tagline "Who will stand when the last Guardian falls!" (shouldn't that be a question, or are they adding Doctor Who as well?). Take a look:

Surrounding the previously revealed Cosmic Ghost Rider starting from the upper left are: Silver Surfer, Moondragon, Groot, Nova, Warlock, Gladiator, Phyla-Vell (?), Star-Lord, Darkhawk, and Beta Ray Bill. The tease adds a new twist though, saying that "six of these cosmic heroes" will be members. If Cates is to be believed, Cosmic Ghost Rider is a lock, so who will be the other five. Are we limited to those characters though? Marvel is kind of unclear about this saying:
We may be able to see some faces, but the question still remains: #WhoAreTheGuardians?
Guess we'll find out in January 2019, when Guardians of the Galaxy relaunches with writer Donny Cates, artist Geoff Shaw, with a cover by David Marquez.
