Back in 2014, a new entry into the Toy Story animated franchise was announced: Toy Story 4. Initially announced for release in 2017, the movie was pushed back a few times until it's current release date of June 21, 2019. Well it looks like they are sticking to that date as a teaser trailer has been released for the movie:
Uhm okay. Previously it was stated Toy Story 4 would not be a continuation from Toy Story 3, but was clarified as meaning it would not take place immediately after Toy Story 3 and may have a different feel. Along with the teaser release, a short synopsis was revealed (explaining the new guy):
See Toy Story 4 in theatres Summer 2019!
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called "Forky" to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley ("Riley's First Date?") and produced by Jonas Rivera ("Inside Out," "Up") and Mark Nielsen (associate producer "Inside Out"), Disney•Pixar's "Toy Story 4" ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.
Will you be adding Toy Story 4 to your want list?
Update: A teaser poster was also released for the film:
