The first official Star Wars series announced for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, was titled The Mandalorian. Aside from a brief synopsis, not much is know about the series, but it was recently revealed that Pedro Pascal is in talks to be the lead for the show. It just could be that more news could be coming in fast and furious, as it's being announced that Gina Carano will be joining the cast.
The news is not an official Lucasfilm announcement, and no information about the role she will be playing has been revealed. Carano is a former MMA fighter, who has had acting roles in Fast & Furious 6 and Deadpool, so if it is an action role, it seems she'd be up for it.
We've seen The Mandalorian suited up soon after the series was announced. Hopefully we'll soon see Carano in character. The Mandalorian is expected to launch with Disney+ in late 2019.
