Like Heroes in Crisis, or not, it's been a pretty polarizing comic, to say the least. Of course, the easy solution of the comic is to fully blame DC co-publisher Dan Didio for the comic, and not the writer itself Tom King. Given the former pubically hates Nightwing, joked about a death in this very comic, A LOT of Teen Titans have died (more than once) on his watch, and that's not even bringing up his distaste for legacy heroes (which goes back to Nightwing). But Tom King has taken a stand on Twitter. That Dan Didio is not to blame at all for this comic, HE IS.
Hm. Seeing lots of people letting me off the hook for stuff cause DC publisher, Dan Didio “made Tom” do whatever.— Tom King (@TomKingTK) November 28, 2018
While I appreciate this very kind defense, I am in the enviable position of being responsible for my own writing choices. The faults in my books are mine alone.
So there you have it. For any blame Heroes in Crisis is now, Tom King is to blame. To you agree with him fully falling on the sword he wrote? Or do you still blame this comic with Dan Didio regardless?
Admit it. You will won't you?
