We've already had our first look and a trailer for the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Discovery. So we've seen Captain Pike (Anson Mount), got a glimpse of Spock (Ethan Peck), and were teased more about the beacons and a "Red Angel". With the second season just over a month away, the folks at CBS have released a new semi-meaty trailer and a poster for brand awareness.
The new trailer shows us more Spock and why he was missing from the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise when the Discovery crew first meet up with them. This ties in with the beacons and the Red Angel, and of course, has the fate of the universe at stake. They also mention super secretive Section 31, first revealed in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, So… we guess it wasn't all that secretive all this time.
