Carlo Rispoli's Treasure Island A Novel Adaptation
ATLANTA, GA – March 8, 2012 – Sea Lion Books announces a multi-book deal with creator Carlo Rispoli. TREASURE ISLAND, an adaptation of the iconic Robert Louis Stevenson novel. The first of the three-volume series will be released Summer of 2012.

About The Artist:
Carlo Rispoli was born in 1961 in Grosseto, in Tuscany, Italy, where still lives and works. He's married to Paola and has two children, Chiara and Riccardo. In 1987 he obtained a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pisa.
Between 2000 and 2003 he attended comic courses at the "Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art". In 2008 he published 2 graphic novels in Italy, published as "SWEETS" and "SOPHIE", now collected in one graphic novel "KNIGHTS AND LADIES". Carlo is currently working on the second volume of TREASURE ISLAND and working with actor, screen writer Kevin Grevioux. About The Translator and Adapter:
Martina Vescera was born in Grosseto. In 2011 she obtained a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures (English and Spanish) at the University of Siena. Currently, Martina is doing post-graduate work at the University for Foreigners of Siena. Before working with Carlo, she worked as translator for various websites.
Manuel Pace was also born in Grosseto, Italy. From 2006 and 2008 he studied script writing in the "Scuola Internazionale di Comics" in Florence, Italy. Currently, he is working on Treasure Island's second volume and he cooperates with the Associazione Culturale "Arte Invisibile" as a Creative Writing teacher.
