Didio Plans to "Refocus" on Vertigo by End of Year. Is the Imprint's Demise Emminent?

This does not bode well for Vertigo.

Having successfully ruined both Watchmen and the New 52, Dan Didio announced that there were plans to turn his all-seeing eye upon the struggling Vertigo imprint later this year. 

During the DC All Access Panel at Kapow, Didio mentioned that there would be several Vertigo projects launching in 2013, including two Unwritten spinoffs (presumably) written by Mike Carey. 

Vertigo has struggled as of late, with a number of cancellations and several lackluster debuts in 2012 alone.  When approached for comment about the imprint's well-documented struggles, Didio stated that "like a Phoenix, Vertigo must die."   Regardless, this does not bode well for Vertigo.
