It's not what you think! Dark Horse's new twitter contest offers winners signed copies of a print from Brian Wood's The Massive.
In theory, it's a great idea. Drum up interest in the comic and twitter followers at the same time by offering a signed print (pictured below) to anyone who follows @DarkHorseComics on Twitter and tweets a pic of themselves holding a copy of Brian Wood's The Massive #1, a sort of post-apocalyptic-hipster Moby Dick, with the hashtag #TheMassivepic. Unfortunately, with the recent trend toward sex tapes and other acts of shameful self-exposure in our society, The Outhouse is afraid that this contest could go south quickly.
With that in mind, The Outhouse is here to save the day, so we are just letting everyone know, PLEASE DO NOT send pictures of your penis or any other sexual organs to @DarkHorseComics, @BrianWood, or @AubDriver. Dark Horse, Wood, and Driver do NOT want to see these pics, regardless of what their fantastically porn-suited names and misleading contest title may imply. Sending pics of an obscene nature to any of these Twitter accounts would NOT be epicly hilarious. Not at all. So don't do it. Thanks.
From the Dark Horse blog, here's the real contest rules:
1) Follow Dark Horse Comics on Twitter.com, winners must be "following" Dark Horse Comics to be eligible.
2) Tweet @DarkHorseComics a picture of yourself with your copy of
Example: "Hey @DarkHorseComics #TheMassivepic and Me! If you do not have a Web Store account, create one.
3) Wait to see who wins!
Five (5) winner(s) will be picked and sent the prize package!
