During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Gary Marsh, President of Disney Worldwide may have let slip of a new Iron Man animated series in the works.
The possible reveal comes when asked this question:
THR: Because Marvel is now part of Disney, are you looking into more Avengers series?
Marsh: Two months ago, we launched Marvel Universe on Disney XD, which became the exclusive home for new Marvel television content. We've developed Ultimate Spider-Man. Subsequent to the success of the Avengers movie, we've been developing a new Avengers Assemble. We're talking about a Hulk series and an Iron Man series, too. They're going to spend $150 million to $200 million to make these [movie] properties and then half of that to market them; I'm sitting here thinking, "Thank you, Lord, you've made me look good."
We already know for a fact that the Hulk series he talks of is Hulk: Agents of S.M.A.S.H. There hasn't been ever a word on an Iron Man project.
BUT WAIT.. the now infamous website, Marvel Tv, had reported that there were two series being planned by Marvel and Disney. They said one was X-Men related while the other they couldn't reveal. Wait.. could they have been RIGHT?!
Of course this means by effect that Nick's Iron Man: Armored Adventures will probably not get renewed. Like, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes it too lasted with a second season making the total episode count over 52 episodes (with only 47 aired thus far). Cue fan boy rage over the end of another series?
